Char Siu Chicken Skewers 叉燒

Char Siu Chicken Skewers Ingredients

✿ 600 Grams Chicken Thigh

BBQ Sauce:
✿ 1 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
3 Tablespoons Hoisin
✿ 1 Tablespoons Honey
1 Teaspoon Chicken Powder
1 Teaspoon 5 Spice Powder
1 Teaspoon Dark Soy
✿ ½ Teaspoon Salt

Cut chicken in small pieces. Optional: remove excess fat
Marinate at least 30 Min or overnight.







Skewer the chicken!
*Soak skewers in water for 1 hour before using. This will prevent them from burning





Preheat Air Fryer 400F. Air fry for 15 Min.
Flip halfway.

Brush with maltose water or honey

TIPS & NOTES
✿ Adjust seasoning to personal preferences
✿ Save some marinade and baste the skewers with it halfway cooking. Or use maltose/honey as baste.
✿ You can also cook the skewers in a pan or on the grill.
