Today we will make chinese style samosa. Samosa is a deep fried or baked pastry snack with a savory filling inside. Usually shaped in a triangle.
We will be making a chinese style by using spring roll wrappers. For the filling we will be making a beef - curry filling. To make it into a healthier version we will be air frying the samosa. In this video you will also learn how to fold a samosa

Curry Samosa
Curry Samosa Ingredients
Filling:
✿ 1 Onion
✿ 1 Potato
✿ 2 Cloves Garlic
✿ 1 Tablespoon Curry Powder
✿ 1 Teaspoon Turmeric
✿ 1 Teaspoon Sugar
✿ Salt & Pepper
✿ Water
Beef Marinade:
✿ 300 Grams Ground Beef
✿ ½ Teaspoon Cornstarch
✿ ½ Teaspoon Soy Sauce
✿ Pepper
✿ Spring Roll Skin

Chinese Style Curry Samosa
Add cornstarch, soy sauce and pepper to the beef and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
While the beef is marinating, prepare the ingredients for the filling. Peel potatoes and cut in small squares. Mince garlic and cut onions in small pieces.
To make the filling cook the marinated ground beef until ready. When cooked remove it from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan cook the onions until caramelized. Then add the potatoes and seasonings. Add enough water to cover all the potatoes. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 10 - 15 min until the potatoes are soft.
Optional: Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork.
Mix in the beef until combined.
Let the filling cool down before use.
For the asian style samosas you will need spring roll wrappers. Cut the wrappers in half to make it into rectangles. To fold the samosa place +/- 2 tablespoons of filling on the bottom. Fold the left corner up to line it up to the right side, leaving a small gap. Keep folding until you’ve reached the top. Wet the top a little bit and seal it.
Preheat the air fryer.
Spray the basket with some oil. Place the samosa inside and spray with some more oil. Air fry at 400F for 8 -10 Min, until golden brown. Flip the samosa halfway.
TIPS & NOTES
✿ You can also pan fry or deep fry the samosa.
