Noodles Recipe Without Pasta Maker
Pearl Noodles (珍珠面) are a beloved delicacy in Chinese cuisine, known for their unique texture and subtle yet delicious flavor. These small, glistening noodles have earned their "pearl" name due to their appearance and the way they absorb sauces, creating a delightful contrast of textures in every bite.
They are made from wheat starch and water, sometimes combined with another starch for extra elasticity and texture. When cooked, these noodles have a smooth, chewy texture and an appealing glossy finish, reminiscent of pearls. This distinctive appearance gives them a sophisticated touch, making them a popular choice for festive dishes and celebratory meals.
While Pearl Noodles are commonly used in soups, stir-fries, and salads, they are most frequently paired with savory broths, braised meats, or vegetables in Chinese cooking. Their ability to soak up sauces and flavor makes them a versatile addition to any dish, whether for a quick meal or an elaborate banquet spread.
