Today we will learn how to make steamed egg chinese style, a Chinese side dish. Chinese steamed eggs are also known as steamed water egg or steamed egg custard. For today's steamed egg all you will need are some eggs and some of your favorite toppings!
Chinese steamed water eggs were one of the many side dishes we always had when having dinner. This Chinese eggs recipe is super silky and smooth, it almost melts in your mouth. Chinese Steamed Egg | 蒸水蛋
Chinese Steamed Egg Ingredients
✿ 4 Eggs
✿ Luke Warm Water 1:2 *
✿ Soy Sauce
✿ Sesame Oil
✿ Spring Onion
✿ Favorite Topping
* The egg water ratio is 1:2 in volume. For example, 4 beaten eggs weighs around 230 Grams, so you’ll need 460 Grams of water.

Combine egg and luke warm water. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Strain the egg mixture into a steam safe bowl.
Steam on medium heat for 10 -12 minutes. For the sauce mix some light soy sauce with sesame oil. Pour it over the steamed egg. Sprinkle with some spring onions and serve hot.

TIPS & NOTES
✿ For other variations you can add some dried shrimp and spring onion in the egg mixture before steaming.
