In today’s post we will be doing my take on the trending Hot Chocolate Bomb! The Hot Chocolate Bomb With Marshmallows is a viral recipe on Tiktok.

What Is a Hot Chocolate Bomb

Hot Chocolate bombs are chocolate spheres filled with instant cocoa mix and marshmallows. Once they’re set you pour hot milk over it and the spheres will crack open / ‘explode’!

How To Make A Chocolate Bomb Without Sphere Mold

I made my own version by using a Cat mold. If you don’t have a round silicone mold/ sphere mold like me you can also use your own favorite silicone mold. Typically you need to put 2 Chocolates from the mold on top of each other to make it hollow and create the bomb effect. Since my cat is too big I just topped it off with Chocolate which works as well but won’t create the exact bomb effect. With this recipe you can be as creative as you want. Use different kinds of Chocolate and or Fillings. It’s a fun recipe but can be a bit messy 😉

Chocolate Bomb

Ingredients

✿ Chocolate
✿ Instant Cacao Mix
✿ Mini Marshmallows
✿ Toffee Bits (Optional)
✿ 375 Milliliters Hot Milk

INSTRUCTIONS | Click here for the recipe video

Melt chocolate on the stovetop or in the microwave in a heatproof bowl, according instructions.











Coat the mold with a thin layer of chocolate. Use a spoon to even it out more. Chill until firm and add another layer of chocolate if needed.











Fill with 1 Tablespoon cacao mix and add desired amount of mini marshmallows.

Optional: Add other ingredients like toffee bits or sprinkles!











Cover the top with chocolate and chill until set.












Place a ‘bomb’ in a cup and pour hot milk over it.
Optional: Garnish with whipped cream.

TIPS & NOTES
✿ Make sure the milk is HOT when pouring it over the chocolate bomb.
✿ If you want to have the bomb effect, instead of covering the top with chocolate, cover it with a hollow chocolate on top and seal the edges.
