Under 10 Minutes Steamed Tofu With Fried Shallots And Dried Shrimp
Let’s learn how to make a quick, easy, delicious and simple tofu dish today. Let’s learn how to make steamed tofu with shallots and dried shrimp!
You can make this as a side dish to serve with rice or if you’re looking for a healthy quick snack, this dish takes under 10 min to make. I will show you the basics but feel free to use other toppings like ground pork, beef or shrimp. I used firm tofu since that one is my favorite but feel free to use soft or medium tofu for a silkier taste.

Steamed Tofu
Steamed tofu Ingredients
✿ 2 - 3 Shallots
✿ 2 - 3 Cloves Garlic
✿ 1 - 2 Spring Onions
✿ 1 Tablespoon Oyster Sauce
✿ ½ Tablespoon Sugar
✿ ½ Tablespoon Soy sauce
✿ ¼ Teaspoon Shaoxing Wine
✿ ¼ Teaspoon Dark Soy
✿ 2 Tablespoon Oil

Cut shallots and garlic in thin slices. Set aside until use.
Steam Tofu for 5 Min or until warm.
Cook shallots and garlic until fragrant and golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside. Cook dried shrimp for 1 - 2 Min. Remove from pan and set aside as well.
For the sauce add all the ingredients to the pan and cook until the sugar is melted. Adjust sauce to personal preferences.
Top tofu with sauce, shallots, dried shrimp, spring onion and or more of your favorite ingredients.

TIPS & NOTES
✿ Adjust seasoning to personal preferences.
✿ You can use other toppings like minced pork, beef or fresh shrimp.
✿ Use your favorite type of tofu.
