Homemade Oat Flour Recipe
In today's shorts recipe we will learn how to make oat flour. Did you know that oat flour is really simple to make and only requires rolled oats? Oat flour from the store can cost a lot. Homemade oat flour is way cheaper than store bought. You can use oat flour for baking. I love to use homemade oat flour to make healthy versions of recipes. Since oats don’t need to be cooked it can be used for lots of no bake recipes, like energy balls
How To Store Oat Flour
How long can homemade oat flour be stored? One important tip when learning how to make oat flour from rolled oats, is to only make enough oat flour as needed. Since it's fresh oat flour it does not have an extremely long shelf life like store bought all purpose flour. If stored in cool temperature it can last up to three months or frozen for up to 6 months. My suggestion would be to only make as much flour as needed at a time. If you only need 1 cup of oat flour, only make 1 cup of oat flour.

1 Cup of rolled oats will make 1 cup of oat flour.
