Basic Jalapeño Hot Sauce Recipe
Today we will learn how to make hot sauce from fresh peppers. We will be making jalapeño hot sauce. Summer time is approaching and that means it is time to get the grill out! What is better than some grilled BBQ food with a good hot sauce.
There are a lot of varieties of hot sauces available. I will show you a basic version on how to make home made hot sauce. You can customize the hot sauce recipe to your preferred taste. This hot sauce goes well with any food. This jalapeno hot sauce is a perfect sauce to add to your food for some spiciness or to dip your food in! It’s semi spicy and has a nice tangy flavor.
Instead of buying the store ones that are packed with a lot of salt and other ingredients to keep the shelf life longer, you can make your own fresh pepper sauce from which you'll know what ingredients go into making your very own hot sauce from fresh peppers.

Jalapeño Hot Sauce
Jalapeño Hot Sauce Ingredients
✿ 280 Grams Jalapeños
✿ 185 Milliliters Vinegar
✿ Extra 60 Milliliters Water And/ Or Vinegar*
✿ 1 Teaspoon Salt
*Add To taste

Cut peppers in pieces. Remove seed if preferred.
Add peppers in a pan. Add 185 Milliliters vinegar. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 20 minutes or until the peppers are soft.
Add the soft peppers with the vinegar to a blender. Add more water and or vinegar depending on taste and preferred thickness of the hot sauce. I added 60 Milliliters extra water to mine. Add salt to taste as well. Blend until smooth. Sieve the sauce if preferred.
Pour in a jar and your hot sauce is done!

TIPS & NOTES
✿ Adjust thickness off sauce by adding more water and or vinegar.
✿ Water - Vinegar ratio for the hot sauce depends on personal preferences.
✿ Straining the sauce is optional.
✿ Feel free to add other ingredients to make a variety of sauces. Some ingredients you can add are onions, garlic, tomato etc.
