Let’s meal prep with me today! For our meal prep we will be making bibimbap 비빔밥!

Bibimbap is a Korean rice dish. It is rice mixed with meat or seafood with an assortment of vegetables. This dish is very versatile since you can use your own favorite meat and vegetables. The vegetables are lightly seasoned. We will also learn how to make a simple sweet and spicy bibimbap gochujang sauce.

Bibimbap

Bibimbap Ingredients

Sauce:
✿ 2 Tablespoons Gochujang
✿ 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
✿ 1 Tablespoon Sugar
✿ 1 Tablespoon Water
✿ 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds
✿ 1 Teaspoon Vinegar
✿ 1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic

✿ Rice
✿ Spinach
✿ Carrot
✿ Shiitake Mushroom
✿ Egg
✿ Seasoning (To Taste)

Let’s prepare all the ingredients. Cook rice according instructions. Once done, let the rice cool down completely.

Use your favorite vegetables for the bibimbap. For mine I used spinach, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, egg, shrimp and beef.

Cut vegetables in thin strip. Cook each vegetable separately. Cook in a pan For 1 - 2 minutes or until desired texture. Season with salt and pepper.

For the spinach I blanced them for 30 seconds. Seasoned with sesame oil, minced garlic and sesame seeds.

For the egg I made an omelette and cut it in thin strips. If you’re not meal prepping you can make a sunny side up egg.

To make the sauce, combine all the ingredients. Feel free to adjust the sauce to your personal preferences.

Once you have prepared all the ingredients you can start meal prepping!
