Today we will make a quick and yummy snack. Let’s learn how to make red bean rice cake.
Red bean rice cake is a pan fried mochi with a sweet filling.We will be using red bean paste for our filling.
Red bean rice cake is a great snack if you’re craving for some sweets. The rice cake is chewy and soft with a sweet red bean filling. Instead of using red bean paste you can use other fillings as well!

Red Bean Paste Rice Cake | 豆沙燒餅
PAn Fried Rice Cake Ingredients
✿ 1 Cup Glutinous Rice Flour
✿ ½ Cup Hot Water
✿ Condensed Milk (To Taste)

In a bowl add glutinous rice flour and condensed milk. Pour in the hot water and stir with a chopstick. Start kneading with your hands until a non-sticky dough forms.
Set aside until use.
Oil work surface. Knead dough until smooth. Roll dough in a log and cut in preferred sizes.
Repeat with the filling. For mine I used my homemade red bean paste.
To shape them flatten the glutinous rice dough using your hands. Press the sides while you keep the middle thick. Place the red bean paste inside. Wrap around red bean paste. Carefully flatten into desired thickness.
Cook in a oiled non-stick pan. Cook on low heat for 5 min or until crispy. Flip and cook for another 5 min with lid on.

TIPS & NOTES
✿ Sweeten sticky rice cake dough with your favorite sweetener. I used condensed milk for mine.
