Peppermint Hot Chocolate Recipe

Today we will learn How to make peppermint hot chocolate. This mint hot chocolate recipe is a yummy hot chocolate drink from scratch at home. It is not a standard hot chocolate. It's peppermint hot chocolate! This peppermint hot chocolate recipe is creamy and rich, since we will be using real chocolate to make this mint hot chocolate.

To give the hot chocolate a minty flavor we will be using extract. Peppermint hot chocolate made with peppermint extract is one of the easiest ways to add the mint flavor. Instead of using extract you could also use peppermint oil or melt in peppermint candy.

Peppermint hot cocoa is the perfect treat on a snowy or cold day. You can serve this delicious mint hot cocoa with your favorite topping. You can add marshmallows or whipped cream and or sprinkle some crushed peppermint on top.

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Ingredients

✿ 1 Cup Milk
✿ 50 Grams Dark Chocolate
✿ ½ Teaspoon Peppermint Extract
✿ Favorite Toppings


Peppermint Hot Chocolate INSTRUCTIONS | Click here for the recipe video



Roughly chop or grate chocolate bar.






Add milk and chocolate to a pan. Cook until chocolate is melted and the chocolate milk is hot.

Then add the peppermint extract and stir to combine.






Serve while hot. Top with your favorite toppings. I topped mine with whipped cream and crushed peppermints.

TIPS & NOTES
✿ For a frothed peppermint hot chocolate, froth the hot chocolate after heating.
✿ Use your favorite type of chocolate for this drink.
✿ Depending on the peppermint extract brand, amount might vary.
✿ The drink has a right sweetness for me, but if you like it sweeter feel free to add more chocolate or some sugar.
✿ Feel free to use chocolate syrup as base.
