Breaded Chicken Served Over Japanese Curry And Rice

Today we will learn how to make crispy chicken katsu with japanese curry.

We will be using boxed curry roux to make it easy and simple. It is very versatile since you can choose your own favorite ingredients for the curry. We will be serving it with a crispy chicken cutlet, but feel free to make it with pork or beef. 

It combines the comforting flavors of curry with the crispy breaded cutlet. You can serve it over a bed of steamed rice, noodles or alongside a fresh salad.

Curry Katsu Ingredients

✿ S&B Curry
✿ Onion
✿ Potato
✿ Sweet Peppers

✿ Chicken Breast
✿ Flour
✿ Egg
✿ Panko Bread Crumbs
✿ Seasoning

Let's prep the ingredients for the curry

I am using S&B Curry. Follow directions according instructions. While the curry is simmering. We can make the chicken katsu.




For the breaded chicken cut chicken breast in half.
Optional: tenderize the chicken breast

Season chicken to taste with salt and pepper and or other seasoning. Coat chicken breast with flour.
Dip in the egg. Coat with panko.



Heat up oil 350F. Deep fry for approx. 8 min. Rest for 10 min before cutting.

Serve over rice! Enjoy ❀◕ ‿ ◕❀
