The item we'll be making for today’s bento is mochi waffles! We will be using a shortcut to make mochi waffles. Instead of making a mochi waffle batter we will be using rice cakes to make this a quick waffles recipe.
If you don’t know what rice cakes are, you might have heard of one of the popular Korean dishes, tteokbokki.
Today we will be using the rice cake to make waffles. Make these chewy waffles as an add on to your kids or loved one bento box. These waffles are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside! They are also really delicious eaten with ice cream.

Cook Until Golden Brown.
Assemble
Use Favorite Ingredients!
Place rice cake in waffle maker. Cut the rice cake in smaller sizes if needed. Close waffle maker and cook until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Add it to a bento box for your kids to school or have it for breakfast or lunch!
