Jalapeño Hot Sauce Recipe

Last time I showed you how to make a basic Jalapeno hot sauce. Today I will show you how you can personalize the basic hot sauce recipe. Just by adding a few more ingredients to your hot sauce you’ll have a new hot sauce from fresh peppers.

Why would you make your homemade hot sauce? By making your own hot sauce you can personalize it to your personal preferences. You can decide the spiciness of the sauce and the thickness. This hot sauce recipe tastes way better than store bought and it is super easy to make!

Use this hot sauce to add some spiciness to your food! If you are a hot sauce lover it is super fun to make your homemade hot sauce and experiment with different ingredients to make different flavors. Use different kinds of peppers, a combination of peppers and add other ingredients to spice it up!

Garlic Jalapeño Hot Sauce

Garlic Jalapeño Hot Sauce Ingredients

✿ 280 Grams Jalapeños
✿ 150 Milliliters Vinegar
✿ Extra 120 Milliliters Water And/ Or Vinegar*
✿ ½ Onion
✿ 4 -5 Cloves Garlic
✿ 1 Teaspoon Salt

*Add To taste

Cook In Vinegar

Simmer For 5 - 10 Min.

Red-Hot-Sauce

Blend

Blend Sauce Until Smooth.



Char the peppers if preferred. Charring will give the sauce a nice smoky flavor. This step is optional.





Cut the peppers in smaller pieces. Add peppers in a pan. Add 185 Milliliters vinegar. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 5 - 10 minutes or until the peppers are soft.




Add the soft peppers with the vinegar to a blender. Add more water and or vinegar depending on taste and preferred thickness of the hot sauce. I added 60 Milliliters extra water and 60 Milliliters extra vinegar to mine. Add salt to taste as well. Blend until smooth. Sieve the sauce if preferred.

Pour in a jar and your hot sauce is done!

TIPS & NOTES
✿ Adjust thickness off sauce by adding more water and or vinegar.
✿ Water - Vinegar ratio for the hot sauce depends on personal preferences.
✿ Straining the sauce is optional.
✿ Feel free to add other ingredients to make a variety of sauces.
