Try This If You Like Boba! Tapioca Dessert Noodles!
Chewy clear tapioca noodles. Served as a bingsu, perfect topping or for other homemade desserts.
How to make tapioca noodles
Today I will show you a fun summer dessert recipe, tapioca dessert with fruits! I got inspired by seeing different kinds of bingsu. A Bingsu is a shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings like chopped fruit, condensed milk, fruit syrup, and red beans. Today I will make a PY's Kitchen Bingsu version using my homemade toppings😄.
Have you always loved the chewy tapioca balls - boba balls in your drinks or desserts? Instead of boba balls we will be making tapioca noodles today, a different type of tapioca dessert! This tapioca dessert noodles recipe is a different way to make boba and add it to your desserts or make a homemade bingsu. It will add nice textures to your dish and it looks just like noodles! Instead of using shaved ice you can add a liquid too, so it will turn into a sweet cold tapioca noodle soup!
The toppings I used for mine are strawberries, red bean paste, daifuku mochi, red bean popsicle, matcha ice cream, mochis and sweetened condensed milk. Feel free to use your favorite toppings to make this special homemade bingsu. It’s a nice refreshing and fun recipe to make and eat!

Add hot water in batches to the tapioca flour and mix. Start kneading with your hands to form a dough
*Careful it’s hot! 🔥
Keep kneading until smooth and stretchy dough forms. Then let the dough rest for 30 minuter.
Take a Piece of dough to make tapioca dessert noodles! I used half of the though I made. Which is enough for 1 serving. Roll it out in +/- 3mm thickness. Cut into desired width into strips.
Optional: roll the strips to smooth out the edges. To make them look like noodles.
Store the noodles in the freezer for later use or cook to make into a yummy dessert!
Add tapioca noodles when water is boiling. Give it a quick stir and let it simmer for 8 - 10 minutes.
*Depending on thickness of the noodles.
When ready cool the tapioca noodles in ice water. Like that the noodles will be more chewy.
Prepare some ingredients for your tapioca noodles dessert!
I used shaved ice, strawberries, homemade red bean paste, daifuku mochi, red bean popsicle, matcha ice cream, mochis and sweetened condensed milk.
Now it's time to plate! Make it as pretty or messy you want!
