How To Make Homemade Bone Broth Soup

Do you have leftover roast duck or duck bones left from your delicious peking duck or roasted duck that you had during Chinese new year? Don’t throw the bones away! Today we will learn how to make broth with the duck bones! Did you know that you can use that to make a delicious homemade bone broth soup with it? No need for fancy recipes or equipment, this beginners broth is very easy to make! If you already know how to make a regular stock then this duck stock 鸭架汤 will be another tool in your recipe arsenal!

Bone broth soup is not only delicious but also has several health benefits that come with it.

We will be using the duck bones to make today's duck bone soup. It’s a super simple recipe. Just simmer the bones in water with vegetables to make a delicious bone broth soup. You can add vegetables or other of your favorite ingredients to turn it into a dinner! You can serve this soup for dinner or use this as a duck stock, a base for your homemade recipes!

Duck Bone Broth Soup Ingredients

✿ Duck Bones
✿ Ginger
✿ Water
✿ Napa Cabbage
✿ Mung Bean Noodles
✿ Chicken Powder (To Taste)

Simmer Soup

Simmer Soup For 1 Hour

Add Ingredients

Add Your Favorite Ingredients.



In a pot add the duck bones and ginger. Add enough water to cover all the duck bones. Bring it to a boil. Cover with a lid and let it simmer for 1 hour.



After 1 hour add your favorite ingredients to the soup. I added napa cabbage and vermicelli to mine. Season soup to taste with chicken powder, salt and or pepper. Let it simmer for another 10 min or until the added ingredients are cooked.

Serve as a side dish or as dinner. ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿

TIPS & NOTES
✿ Add your favorite ingredients to the soup. Other ingredients you can use are bok choy, bean sprouts, tofu.
