Today we will learn how to make Chow Mein. What is Chow Mein, 豉油王炒面? Chow mein is a Chinese stir fried egg noodles with vegetables. You can find chow mein at most dim sum restaurants or take out places. There are many different versions of chow mein. The version we will be learning to make today is soy sauce chow mein. Also known as supreme soy sauce noodles, supreme soy sauce chow mein 豉油王炒面, or Cantonese Chow Mein! This soy sauce chow mein has no meat and is super easy to make.

I love noodles, and this is one of my favorite noodle dishes. This Chow mein was one of the dishes I grew up eating, if I could eat it all day I'd have it as breakfast, lunch & dinner! ⊂◉‿◉つ If you’re looking for an easy noodle recipe, skip the take out & make this homemade chow mein better than take out by adjusting the seasoning to your personal preference!

Chow Mein 炒面

Chow Mein Ingredients

Sauce:
✿ 2 Tablespoons Hot Water
✿ 1 Teaspoon Sugar
✿ 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
✿ 2 Tablespoons Dark Soy Sauce
✿ 1 Tablespoon Oyster Sauce


✿ 450 Grams HK Style Egg Noodles
✿ 4-5 Spring Onions
✿ 200 Grams Bean Sprouts
✿ 1 Onion
✿ 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil

Prepare Noodles

Cook Noodles For 2 Min.

Prepare Ingredients

Cut Ingredients.

Make Sauce

Combine All Ingredients For The Sauce.

Stir Fry The Noodles.

Dim-Sum-Chow-Mein

Plate

Time To Eat!



Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the noodles. Cook the noodles for 2 min. Drain the water. Rinse the noodles with cold water. Set noodles aside until use.






Let’s prepare the other ingredients. Cut spring onion and onion in strips. Wash bean sprouts and set aside.







Combine all the ingredients for the sauce. Adjust sauce to personal preferences.





Heat up some oil in a non stick pan. Cook onions and white part of spring onions until fragrance. Add the noodles an heat it up. Pour in sauce mixture. Mix until all the noodles are coated Add bean sprouts and remaining spring onions. Mix until combined.

TIPS & NOTES
✿ Adjust sauce to personal preferences.
✿ To make it extra yummy add some hot sauce! ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿
