Let’s make a special Ice Cream for world ice cream day! Instead of making an apple crumble pie today, we’ll be using the ingredients to learn how to make homemade apple pie ice cream! This is a no churn apple crumble ice cream, no ice cream machine needed! Let's make some homemade apple pie ice cream! It’s super easy and yummy.

Apple Crumble Pie Ice Cream

Ingredients

Apple Compote:
✿ 1 Apple
✿ 1 Tablespoon Butter
✿ 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
✿ ½ Teaspoon Cinnamon Powder

Crumble:
✿ 90 Grams Flour
✿ 30 Grams Oats (Optional)
✿ 65 Grams Butter
✿ 65 Grams Sugar

Ice Cream:
✿ 1 Cup Heavy Cream
✿ 200 Grams Condensed Milk

Make Crumble.

Bake Crumble

Bake 380F 15 - 20 Min.

Blend Apple Compote

Blend Until Desired Consistency

Whip Up Cream

Whip Until Soft Peaks.

Mix Ice Cream

Mix Apple Compote Into Ice Cream.

Apple-Pie-Ice-Cream

Assemble

Layer The Ice Cream.

Freeze

Freeze Min 8 Hours.

Time For Ice Cream!

Crumble:
To make the crumble rub flour and cold butter together until crumbled.

*You could also use a food processor. Pulse until crumbled.

Add sugar to taste.
Oats is optional, you can replace it with flour


Spread it out on a baking sheet. bake at 380F for 15 - 20 minutes, until golden brown. Mix the crumble halfway.
When ready let it cool down before use.



Apple Compote:
Peel apples and cut in small pieces.
In a pan add butter, apples, sugar and cinnamon. Cook the apples approx. 10 - 15 minutes until soft.

*Adjust sugar and cinnamon to personal preferences.





Blend the apples. This is optional. If you prefer apple chunks in your ice cream you can skip this part.







Ice Cream:
Whip up heavy cream until soft peaks.







Carefully fold in the condensed milk and apple compote until combined.






Layer the ice cream in a freezer safe bowl. Add preferred amount of crumble in between and on top.







Freeze at least min 8 hours.







Serve in a cone, in a bowl or on top of a homemade apple crumble pie!

TIPS & NOTES
✿ Oats in the crumble is optional. You can replace it with flour.
✿ If you like more texture in your ice cream, don’t blend the apple compote until smooth, leave some big chunks of apples.
✿ Freeze ice cream at least for min 8 hours. Best to freeze overnight.
