Homemade Chinese Five Spice Powder

When making homemade chinese five spice powder you’d know exactly what is in your five spice powder. This five spice powder is super simple and very versatile. Like usual, my sauces, spices and recipes can be adjusted to your personal preferences.

To enhance the flavor of the spices you can toast the spices for 5 min on the stovetop with a pan. If you’d like a little extra heat, toast the sichuan peppercorns as well. You can use a coffee/spice grinder or mortar to grind up the spices. You could also add some ginger powder to the mixture to make it even better!
