The Chinese peanut cookies recipe is a traditional Chinese New Year treat. Around that time you can find these peanut butter cookies everywhere in Chinese grocery stores. Chinese lunar new year is not until next year but since they’re so yummy I couldn't wait to show you how to make these chinese peanut cookies.

How To Make Peanut Butter Cookies
These peanut cookies will melt in your mouth once you bite into it. They’re soft with some texture from the crushed peanuts. They are super simple to make and super yummy!
You can change this cookie to make it the best peanut cookies for you. You can decide which type of sugar to use. Add more powdered sugar for a more smoother cookie or add more granulated sugar for a cookie with some texture. You can also eliminate the crushed peanuts or add more crushed peanuts.

Peanut Cookies Ingredients
✿ 100 Grams Peanut Butter
✿ 50 Grams Peanuts (Optional)
✿ 60 Grams Peanut Oil
✿ 30 Grams Sugar
✿ 30 Grams Powdered Sugar
✿ ¼ Teaspoon Salt
✿ 150 Grams Flour
✿ Extra Peanuts
✿ 1 Egg

Chinese PEanut Butter Cookies
If using peanuts, crush peanuts in desired pieces using a rolling pin or blender. First combine peanut butter and peanut oil together until well combined. Add in the dry ingredients and mix. Start kneading with your hands until a dough forms. Lastly add the crushed peanuts and combine well.
Roll out the dough in a string and divide it in desired cookie sizes. Roll them into a ball.
*Makes about 20 small cookies.
Place a whole peanut in the middle and slightly press it in. Brush the cookies with egg wash.
Bake 350F for 20 minutes. When done let the cookies cool down for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Cookies are delicious with a cup of milk! ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿
TIPS & NOTES
✿ If using chunky peanut butter you don’t have to add extra crushed peanuts.
✿ Leave out the crushed peanuts if you like a smooth cookie.
✿ You can decide which type of sugar to use. Add more powdered sugar for a more smoother cookie or add more granulated sugar for a cookie with some texture.
