McDonald’s KAtsu Chicken Nuggets
Recently I saw a lot of articles about the new McDonalds katsu curry chicken nuggets that is only available in the UK. Unfortunately the Mcdonald's new chicken nuggets are not available in the US, BUT! It inspired me to make them myself at home! I couldn’t really find any instructions from McDonald’s as to their actual katsu recipe on how to make mcdonald's chicken nuggets. The katsu chicken nuggets are supposed to be coated in panko bread crumbs and are served with a sweet curry sauce. These katsu curry chicken nuggets have a nice crunchy exterior. The sweet curry dip sounds like one of my favorite sauces I loved to eat with fries & nuggets in The Netherlands so I served it with that sauce.

McDonalds Katsu Curry Chicken Nuggets
Ingredients
✿ 500 Grams Ground Chicken
✿ 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
✿ 2 Tablespoons Water
✿ Seasoning
✿ Panko Bread Crumbs
✿ Egg
✿ Flour

Bring ground chicken to taste with seasoning. I used garlic powder, onion powder, paprika powder, salt and pepper.
Then add the cornstarch and water and mix combined.
You will need 3 different plates.
One plate for the egg mixture. Use 1 - 2 eggs.
Fill the 2nd plate with flour, and the last plate with panko bread crumbs.
Use 2 spoons to scoop a desired size of chicken nugget. Coat with flour, dip in the egg and lastly coat with the panko bread crumbs. Then shape the nugget in desired shape.
Air fry the nuggets 400F 15 minutes (flip halfway)
OR
Deep fry until golden brown
TIPS & NOTES
✿ These nuggets can be both air fried or deep fried.
✿ I served my nuggets with a German sweet curry sauce.
