Chayote Corn Soup Ingredients

✿ 1 Chayote
✿ ½ Corn
✿ 12 Grams Dried Lily Bulbs
✿ 12 Grams Chinese Yam
✿ 12 Grams Fox Nuts
✿ Small Piece Dried Tangerine Peel
✿ 1-2 Candied Dates
✿ 200 Grams Pork Riblets / Bones
✿ 1.5 Liters Water

Prepare Ingredients

Wash Herbs And Lotus Root.

Make Soup

Simmer For 2 Hours.

Prep the Ingredients

Peel the chayote and cut into large chunks and set aside. Place pork in a pot with spring onion, ginger, and enough water to fully cover. Bring to a boil over high heat. Skim off any scum. Remove the pork and rinse thoroughly under cold water. Rinse all dried herbs thoroughly. Soak the dried tangerine peel in water for at least 10 minutes, then gently scrape off the white pith to prevent bitterness.

Start the Soup

Add the cleaned pork, chayote, corn, and all prepared herbs into a clean pot. Pour in enough fresh water to cover all ingredients. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let the soup simmer gently for 2 hours.

Season with salt to taste and add goji berries. Continue simmering for another 10 minutes.

Taste the soup and season with salt as desired. Serve hot and enjoy! ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿
