Today we will learn how to make a Japanese snack.Takoyaki たこ焼き. Takoyaki is a popular Japanese street food. It is a savory ball shaped snack filled with octopus and some other ingredients. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It is served with takoyaki sauce which tastes slightly sweet and topped with bonito flakes.

These delicious octopus-filled balls are a must-try for anyone looking to experience the authentic flavors of Japan in a convenient and portable form.

Takoyaki | たこ焼き

Takoyaki Ingredients

Batter:
✿ 90 Grams Flour
✿ 1 Egg
✿ 330 Milliliters Water
1 ½ Teaspoon Dashi Powder

✿ Squid / Octopus
✿ Spring Onion
Tempura Bits
✿ Red Chili Pepper
Bonito Flakes

Bread Chicken.

Japanese Street Food Takoyaki

Deep Fry

Deep Fry Until Golden Brown.

Let's prep the ingredients for the takoyaki. Cut everything in small pieces.

To make the batter add everything into a bowl. Whisk until clump free.



Oil takoyaki pan. Fill with the batter until everything is covered.

Fill each hole with the prepped ingredients. When it is half cooked, use wooden skewers to separate each ball.

Flip the ball halfway using 2 wooden skewers.

Cook until golden brown around.
I used sriracha and mayo for mine as the sauce but feel free to use takoyaki sauce or any of your favorite sauces.

Top with bonito flakes and spring onion. Enjoy ❀◕ ‿ ◕❀
