How To Make Squid Game Dalgona Candy

If you have watched the new show on Netflix squid game, then this squid game candy will look familiar to you. Squid game is a popular show on Netflix at the moment.

In the show they have a game where they carve out the shape from a dalgona candy. Dalgona also known as Honeycomb toffee, sponge toffee, cinder toffee or hokey poke is a honeycomb-like candy popular in korea. Korean honeycomb candy is a popular Korean street food that has been around. Since the show Squid Game has become more popular and people started making them at home.

To make this dalgona honeycomb candy you'd need to have a ladle and a press. In today's quick shorts I will show you how to make it with standard cooking supplies that you have at home. You don’t need special tools to make these candies.

✿ 2 Tablespoons Sugar
✿ Pinch Of Baking Soda

Melt Sugar

Cook Sugar Until Melted.

Squid-Game-Dalgona

Add Baking Soda

Add A Pinch Of Baking Soda.

Pour Out Candy

Pour Onto Parchment Paper.

Flatten Candy

Flatten The Candy.

Press Symbol

Use Cutter To Press A Symbol.



Melt sugar in a ladle or a small pan on low fire. Keep stirring the sugar. The sugar will first clump up and then melt.





Once the sugar is melted turn off the fire. Add a pinch of baking soda to it. Give it a quick stir with a chopstick or spatula.






Pour the mixture on a greased parchment paper. And let it cool for 30 seconds.







Press the candy flat with a greased spatula or something with a flat surface like a baking mold.





Press your favorite symbol using a cookie cutter.
Your candy is ready!

TIPS & NOTES
✿ The more baking soda you use the more honeycomb-like the candy will be.
