How To Make Calamari

The calamari recipe I am showing you today is a super easy calamari recipe and can be made for an appetizer or as a snack. This fried calamari recipe is just one of many ways of how to cook squid. I will be showing you how to make calamari using an air fryer. But of course as always you can deep fry it as well to make these crispy calamari!

Air Fried Calamari Squid

Ingredients

✿ Squid Tube
✿ ½ Cup Flour
✿ 1 Egg
✿ 1 Tablespoon Milk
✿ Panko Bread Crumbs
✿ Seasoning


Squid-For-Calamari

Prepare Ingredients

Prepare Squid.

Flour Coating

Season Flour Coating.

Calamari-Coating

Prepare Other Coating.

Coat-Calamari-Rings

Start Coating

Coat The Squid.

Coated-Calamari-Squid-Ring

Repeat

Repeat For Remaining.

Air-Fried-Calamari

Air Fry

Air Fry 400F - 10 Min.

Air-Fried-Calamari-Rings

Serve

Serve While Hot.

Cut squid tube in desired sizes.
You can also use store bought squid rings to make it easier and faster.


Season flour coating with your favorite seasoning. I used garlic powder, onion powder, paprika powder, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.

In another bowl make the egg mixture. Combine 1 Egg with 1 Tablespoon milk.
The last bowl add a generous amount of panko bread crumbs.


First coat the squid rings with flour. Dip in the egg mixture and coat with panko bread crumbs.

Slightly press it to make it stick.

Repeat with all.


Preheat the air fryer. Spray some oil on the basket and place the squid rings inside. Spray squid rings with some oil
Air fry at 400F for 10 minutes. Flip halfway and spray with more oil.

Serve with your favorite sauce!

TIPS & NOTES
✿ Depending on the air fryer the temperature and time might vary
✿ Delicious to serve with tartar sauce, ketchup or mustard
✿ Best when served hot!
