Pommess Duchesse | French Piped Potatoes

These little potato swirls are called Pommes Duchesse or in Dutch they’re known as Aardappeltoefjes or Hertoginnenaardappelen. It’s seasoned mashed potatoes and then piped into a swirl.

Make these yummy pommes duchesse for your Family who loves to eat potatoes. In my opinion I think these little swirls are a healthy version of fries, because it’s oven baked! Or, since the Holiday seasons are coming up, this will be a good recipe to make for Thanksgiving or Christmas! 🎄🎅

Pommes Duchesse Ingredients

✿ 1000 Grams Potatoes
✿ 50 Grams Butter
✿ 50 Milliliters Milk
✿ 1 Egg
✿ Seasoning

Cook Potatoes

Cook Potatoes Until Soft.

Season

Season To Taste.

Pipe Swirls

Pipe The Potato Into Swirls.

Bake

Bake 400 - 430F |
20 Min.



Peel and cut potatoes in smaller pieces. Cook the potatoes until soft. When soft drain the water and mash the potatoes.



While the potatoes are still warm add the butter and mix until combined. Then add the milk and mix again. Lastly add the egg and mix until smooth. Add seasoning to taste. Usually I add salt, pepper, paprika powder, onion powder, garlic powder, minced garlic/onion and Italian dry herbs. ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿.





Transfer the mashed potatoes to a piping bag with a piping nozzle tip. Pipe little swirls using circular motion.





Bake in the oven at 400F - 430F for 20 Min or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
