Today we will learn how to make Korean toast! Korean toast is a popular Korean street food, also known as Gilgeori 길거리토스트. The Korean street toast is a sweet and savory crispy toast with an egg omelet that is packed with vegetables, like cabbage!

This Korean cabbage toast is a great healthy breakfast to start the day with! Since it’s very filling, this street toast will be perfect as well for lunch.

If you’re bored of your regular omelet with bacon and cheese sandwich. The Korean street sandwich, Gilgeori 길거리토스트, is a must try! Save some money or a trip outside by making your homemade street toast. You can turn it into the best Korean street toast since you can use your own favorite sauces!

Korean Street toast Ingredients

✿ Bread
✿ 1½ Cup Cabbage
✿ ½ Carrot
✿ ¼ Onion
✿ 2 Spring Onion
✿ 2 Eggs
✿ Salt & Pepper
✿ Sugar, Ketchup & Mustard

Prepare Vegetable Mixtures

Cut Ingredients And Mix.

Toast Bread And Cook Cabbage Mixture

Cook Until Golden Brown.

Add Sauce

Top With Your Favorite Sauce.


Cut the vegetables in strips or use a shredder. Cut spring onions in pieces. Add eggs and salt & pepper to taste. Mix with a fork until combined.






Heat up some butter on a non stick pan. Toast the bread on both sides until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside. Add more butter if needed. Add all the vegetable mixture. Shape it into a square. Cook both sides for 2 - 3 minutes or until golden brown.










Transfer the cabbage omelet to the toast. Sprinkle with a little bit of sugar and top with your favorite sauce. Add the other toast on top and cut toast in half.

TIPS & NOTES
✿ You can use any of your favorite bread. I used milk bread for my recipe.
✿ Amount of vegetables depends on personal preferences.
